 If supplying your own hair, installation rates are $1.50 per strand for fusion and $2.00 per strand for micro rings



Here are the steps to getting beautiful, long, thick, luxurious hair extensions at Social Elite Salon

-schedule your initial FREE consultation. We do this consultation to determine what look and length you would like to achieve, and to determine which type of hair will match your hair color and texture. 



-Put down your deposit. This deposit goes toward the total price of service. Each person has different ideas when it comes to the look they want to ultimately achieve, along with different color and texture, we custom order your hair for you to be sure it matches perfectly, and has the most natural look. Your deposit covers the cost of hair, and secures your future installation appointment. Please keep in mind that this deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE. The hair will be purchased immediately after payment is made. We must take a deposit because the hair cannot be returned once purchased. The deposit is $50% of the total price of service. You will receive a signed receipt upon payment of deposit


.-Finally, schedule your installation appointment!!! At this appointment, you will pay the additional balance for the total owed, we will install the hair extensions, give you a cut if you wish, style your new extensions, and you will receive an extension care package. Then, be on your way with your new glamorous extensions!! Its that easy!!

**If you would like to avoid the deposit and supply your own hair, the rate is $1.50 per strand for fusion extensions, and 2.00 per strand for Micro ring extensions. If supplying your own hair, Social Elite Salon will not be at all responsible for issues pertaining to the quality of hair, loose bonds, lack of volume, non-blending, unmatched color or texture, etc. If you choose to purchase, the hair needed is called I-tip hair. It can take anywhere from 150-300 pieces or "strands" for a full head of extensions, depending on thickness of hair, and the look you would like to achieve. 

**Our hair supplier ships UPS ground with an in-transit time of 1 day. Please allow at least 48 hours after deposit before scheduling your installation appointment to ensure your hair has been delivered. You will receive notification via e-mail and/or phone if it arrives any earlier. 


FAQ's

1. What are fusion extensions? 
 Fusion extensions are small pieces or "strands" of hair with a piece of keratin bond at the top which is heated and applied to your natural hair to increase length and/or volume . They can also be used to create highlights or low lights. These extensions typically last about 4 months, but can last 6 months with proper maintenance. Being sure to strictly follow directions for extension care, and visiting your stylist every 6 weeks during this time will ensure you get the full long lasting benefits of your extensions.

2. Will  extensions damage my hair?
With the correct application and maintenance, extensions will not damage your hair. Please keep in mind that the average person can lose up to 100 hairs a day. When your hair is "fused" with the extensions, these hairs won't shed until the extensions are removed. This could seem like a lot of hair loss at once, but it is just due to the fact that the hair has accumulated from being unable to shed for a few months. It is also normal to lose a few bonds or rings after a few months due to shedding of the hair they are connected to, and normal wear and tear. This is why you must keep up with your every 6 week maintenance appointments to keep your hair looking its best.  

3. What kind of hair is it?
We use only 100% Remy human hair. This is the best quality of hair available. "Remy" simply means that the hair flows from root to end on the extension, just as your own hair flows root to end. This prevents the cuticle of your hair from getting "roughed up", which causes lackluster, tangled hair. 

4. If I am thinning/balding can I get fusion or micro ring extensions?
In short, No. I would not recommend fusion extensions if the hair is abnormally thin, weak, or if you are balding. Although extensions are safe for normal hair, attaching them to very weak and thin or balding hair could cause even more stress on your hair and scalp. 

5. How long does applying hair extensions take?
It depends on your exact service, how thick your hair is, and the look your trying to achieve. It could take anywhere from 1-6hrs. 

6. Who can get extensions?
Any ethnicity, or sex can get hair extensions. Your hair must be at least 6 inches long. 

7. Can I dye my hair while having extensions?
Yes. Because we use 100% Remy Human Hair, you can color, curl, flat iron, blow dry, and even perm your extensions. Remember, these are human hair and they will get damaged just as your hair would through any processing. 

8. Will people see that I have extensions?
No. The bonds are very well hidden to the point that you can even wear your hair up in a pony tail and no one will see them!! 

9. How are extensions removed?
Fusion and Micro ring extensions should be removed only by a skilled professional. There is a special removal technique and if you try to remove the fusion extensions yourself, you could cause damage to your hair, hair loss, and pain. 


8. What are micro-ring extensions?
Micro ring extensions are extensions attached to the hair by small silicone covered rings. They can be re-used when the hair grows out by un-clamping the ring and simply sliding it up over the new hair growth.
